The Luxury Shoulder Joint Model is an exact replica of the human body. The high-quality functional model of a right joint with ligaments in natural size shows the anatomy and physiological movement possibilities (e.g. abductions, anteversion, retroversion, external and internal rotation) in extraordinary detail. The coloring of the original molded bones is extremely realistic. The cartilage on the joint surfaces is shown in blue. Consists of shoulder blade, clavicle and humeral stump. Mounted on a base, the anatomical structure shows the fully movable joint with articular surface particularly clearly.

Illustrate injuries and interventions on the model

The mobility of the 22 cm high shoulder model is particularly pronounced due to the mechanics, so that a demonstration of the entire physiological range of motion is possible. The mini shoulder joint model can be used particularly clearly to explain to the patient which area of the shoulder is injured or particularly affected by wear and tear and therefore causes shoulder pain. In addition, interventions such as shoulder surgery or physiotherapy measures can be demonstrated much more easily on this extremely realistic functional model.

          Moving models offer many advantages

Patients often cannot do much with an X-ray image because they do not understand the function and characteristics of important muscles and the underlying bones. To explain the injury more clearly, many physicians therefore use a teaching board or medical images. This is a first step in the right direction. However, to really explain in detail how the shoulder joint works and what movements it allows, you as a doctor should resort to a three-dimensional shoulder joint functional model. Preferably one that provides the contribution of not only being a simple representation, but also being able to be touched and moved.
