Peha-instrument sharp spoon - The details
Sharp spoons, also called Willinger spoons, are commonly used to remove impacted bone fragments or periosteal debris from the fracture gap. The surgical spoon in particular is an instrument that exists in many different forms and is named after different names depending on its shape. Sharp spoons can therefore be straight, curved in the working part, angled and often have different spoon lengths and different sized spoon shapes.
The sharp spoon from Hartmann is a disposable instrument. The Hartmann Peha instruments provide you with advantages due to their sterile individual packaging. The effort for cleaning, disinfection, sterilization, packaging and personnel is reduced. By using disposable instruments, cross-contamination can be avoided and maximum hygiene is guaranteed. The single use and accurate labeling of surgical instruments makes medical documentation much easier.
Contaminated disposable instruments can be collected and disposed of in the same way as commercially available reusable instruments. The plus: steel is recyclable!
