Abbott ID NOW™ COVID-19 Test Kit

Please note: The ID NOW by Abbott is exclusively delivered to pharmacies and medical professionals/institutions who are authorized to use medical products. Hospitals and clinics can only obtain the items via the manufacturer Abbott. Delivery to hospitals/clinics and home addresses is unfortunately not possible.

The Abbott ID NOW™ Covid-19 Test Kit is specifically designed to be used with the ID NOW™ rapid testing device. It delivers reliable, laboratory-quality test results of patients at the point-of-care. The kit includes 24 assay tests that are automatically evaluated using the Abbott ID NOW device, providing initial positive results in as little as 6–13 minutes. The analysis system combines the reliability of a PCR test with the quickness of a rapid test. When using Abbott ID NOW™ COVID-19 test kits in combination with the ID NOW platform, you will make SARS-CoV-2 diagnosis just like if done at a professional laboratory. The color-coded test components ensure an intuitive use and the possibility of using them in a variety of healthcare settings, near the patients. ID NOW™ enables clinically relevant decisions to be made in real time, thus accelerating patient care.

Combinable real-time diagnostics for current respiratory diseases

You can combine two different test kits on the ID Now device to be able to distinguish between a corona infection or an influenza infection. Using first the SARS-CoV-2 test and directly afterward the Influenza A and B test will give you faster results than doing the procedure separately. Using the same nose or nasopharyngeal swab reduces the total time for both tests to only 15–22 minutes and enables an efficient early detection of the illness. The treating health professional will then be able to quickly make a diagnostic decision.

Recognized as EU digital COVID certificate

The ID NOW test results are recognized as evidence of the presence of negative SARS-CoV-2 infection, since they are –unlike rapid test– based on isothermal nucleic acid amplification technology (NAT). They are therefore approved as an EU digital COVID certificate.
