Abbott ID NOW™ Strep A 2 Test Kit

The Abbott ID NOW™ Strep A 2 test kit is specifically designed to be used with the ID NOW™ rapid testing device. It delivers reliable, laboratory-quality test results of patients with streptococcus at the point-of-care. The kit includes 24 assay tests that are automatically evaluated using the Abbott ID NOW device, providing initial positive results in as little as 3 minutes (without incubation time). Negative tests do not have to be confirmed with a culture, which saves time and resources. Highest sensitivity: When used with the ID NOW™ device, these Abbott Test Kits deliver more true positive results than RADTs (rapid antigen detection tests). At the same time, the analysis time of the ID NOW™ is significantly faster than other rapid molecular tests. Performance is simple, safe and intuitive (no CLIA needed). The color-coded test components ensure safe use through closed test cassettes. Since it is so easy to use, it can be used in a variety of healthcare settings, near the patients. ID NOW™ enables clinically relevant decisions to be made in real time, thus accelerating patient care.
