Laryngeal masks are used as an alternative to bag-mask ventilation with the opening pushed in front of the epiglottis. Compared to endotracheal intubation, the laryngeal mask has the advantage of sealing the upper airway without risk of injury and allowing manual as well as mechanical ventilation.
The Ambu AuraOnce disposable laryngeal mask, like all Aura laryngeal masks, features a specially reinforced cluff tip for easy positioning on any patient. The anatomical bend of the preformed tube minimizes the risk of palatal abrasions and makes for easy, atraumatic placement anterior to the trachea. This laryngeal mask has an Easy-Glide surface with microstructure for particularly easy insertion without the need for additional aids. An extra-thin soft cuff ensures the best possible seal with minimal cuff pressure. As a result, the Ambu AuraOnce laryngeal mask offers a special level of safety and user-friendliness for airway protection.
The cuff valve with printed size indication precisely reflects the pressure conditions in the cuff. Depth markings allow control of optimal placement.
Depending on the patient's body weight, there is always a suitable version due to the many different sizes. Each disposable laryngeal mask has color-coded packaging with instructions printed on the reverse side and is supplied individually and sterilely packaged.
