Slishman Traction Splint from Rescue Essentials

The Slishman Traction Splint (STS) is used for extending and stabilizing hip and lower leg fractures. Made from aluminum, this splint is compact, only weighing 600 g, and offers more mobility and efficiency in emergencies. It is easy to adjust to the patient’s size without extending past the feet and is therefore ideal for use in ambulances and with stretchers. The STS comes with three belts that are fixed around the ankle, the middle of the leg, and the groin for secure hold.
