          Disposal: Batteries and Accumulators

Some devices contain batteries. Batteries or accumulators may also be permanently installed in the devices themselves. In the context of the distribution of these batteries or accumulators, we, as a distributor, are obliged under Directive 2006/66/EC of the European Parliament to inform you of the following:

Please make sure to return used batteries/accumulators to a municipal collection point or a local retailer, as prescribed by law. Disposal through ordinary household waste is prohibited and violates Directive 2006/66/EC of the European Parliament. Returning at municipal collection points is free of charge. You can also return used batteries, which we supply or have supplied as new batteries, free of charge to our shipping warehouse (shipping address). Should you wish to return batteries/accumulators to us, it must always be sufficiently prepaid.

Used batteries and accumulators containing harmful substances are clearly marked with the symbol of a crossed-out wheelie bin.

Additionally, the chemical symbol of the corresponding harmful substances is indicated below the symbol of the crossed-out wheelie bin. Examples include: (Pb) Lead, (Cd) Cadmium, (Hg) Mercury.

          • Pb = Battery contains more than 0.004 mass percent of lead
          • Cd = Battery contains more than 0.002 mass percent of cadmium
          • Hg = Battery contains more than 0.0005 mass percent of mercury
