Sarstedt: BSG quite simple thanks to S-Sedivette
The remarkable BE system of the monovette is now also utilized by the S-Sedivette for BSG. As with blood collection using monovettes, with sedivettes you can also choose between vacuum technology and the aspiration principle! You determine the sampling principle yourself, depending on the condition of the veins during blood sedimentation.
Blood sedimentation with Sarstedt Sedivettes
The procedure is simple and all the more effective: 2.8 ml of blood is aspirated into the Sarstedt Sedivette pre-dosed with 0.7 ml of citrate. Then mix the citrate blood thoroughly. Simply shake the monovette vigorously - a pre-dosed glass bead will assist the mixing process.
For the BSG measurement, one can equip the optional sedivette stand and mark the zero point of each sample with the red knurled screws. After waiting for one hour, the clearly contrasted scale of the S-sedivettes shows the sedimentation value, which corresponds to the mm-value according to Westergren.
