Hartmann's Peha-Instrument Surgical Forceps is a single-use instrument and therefore particularly hygienic to use. Each disposable forceps is made of brushed steel and individually marked as a single-use instrument, making documentation particularly easy. Surgical forceps differ from anatomical forceps in that they are sharp and have teeth on both sides to hold the tissue firmly.

Peha-instrument surgical forceps - The details

Surgical forceps are sharper than anatomical forceps. It usually has small teeth that interlock when the surgical forceps are squeezed. This allows one to grasp and hold the tissue to be grasped particularly tightly. Surgical forceps are often used to grasp and hold subcutaneous fatty tissue. Coarser structures can also be gripped well and reliably with surgical forceps - such as muscle tissue. Depending on the surgical site, the shape and length of the surgical forceps must vary.

These relatively long, finer surgical forceps are disposable instruments. The Peha instruments from Hartmann have many advantages due to their sterile individual packaging. The effort required for cleaning, disinfection, sterilization, packaging and personnel is reduced.
