The hedgehog ball is a physio-therapeutic instrument, mainly for skin- and back-massage. This type of massage is also supposed to increase localized circulation.
Hedgehog balls are manufactured in various sizes. the sizes are apparent by their colors. As a rule, these are fist-size rubber-balls, filled with air, with rubber nubs in all directions.
The hedgehog ball is used by laying it onto the floor, laying on top of it, and rolling over it on the back. It can also be rolled up and down with the back against a wall and in that way massage the tense areas. Therapists also often recommend it for a foot-massage under the naked sole.
