Erler-Zimmer Human digestive system

The Erler-Zimmer model shows the entire human digestive tract from the oral cavity to the rectum. The oral cavity, pharynx and the uppermost esophageal section are opened on the medial sagittal plane. The liver and gallbladder are visualized together and are removable. The removable pancreas and duodenum of the model are cut open. This provides optimal visualization of the internal structures. The stomach is removable and can be cut into two parts. Parts of the colon, appendix, small intestine and rectum are opened so that the internal structures can be viewed.
