The KERN MWS wheelchair scale is a flat scale that can be driven on from both sides to determine the body weight of patients with limited mobility. The large weighing surface and the sloping side ends (drive-on ramp) enable comfortable driving up and down. At the same time the non-slip plastic surface ensures a secure hold during the examination. The rubberized feet are adjustable in height and provide additional stability.

Increased functionality of the KERN MWS wheelchair scale
As an aid to diagnosis and for improved measuring accuracy, the MWS wheelchair scale has an extended range of functions.
With the help of the patient's height, the MWS scale can automatically calculate the respective body mass index from the height and the determined weight via the BMI function .
In the event of any preloads, the tarefunction can be used to tare away the respective weight so that only the patient's actual weight is subsequently displayed.
In addition, the wheelchair scale has a hold function, which allows the measured result to be frozen in the display for later processing.
