Useful additional functions of the KERN MPC bariatric scale

The MPC obesity scale has an extended range of functions (BMI, tare and hold function), which can serve as an aid for further diagnosis.

If the patient's height is known, the MPC scale can use the BMI function to automatically calculate the respective body mass index from the height and the weight determined.

In the event of any preloads, the  tarefunction can be used to tare away the respective weight so that only the patient's actual weight is subsequently displayed. For example, this function enables the bariatric scale to automatically calculate the weight of a wheelchair.

In addition, the bariatric scale has a hold function, which allows the measured result to be frozen in the display for later processing.
