MAICO ERO SCAN TEOAE screener

The ERO SCAN TEOAE screener by MAICO allows for fast and frequency-specific TEOAE measurements. The intuitively controllable testing device can be used in noisy environments thanks to the high noise immunity and is therefore the perfect companion for applications in hospitals and doctor’s offices. It has a color display and enables an easy evaluation with pass/refer results. The automated evaluation is a perfect solution for the screening of newborns, infants, kindergartners, and preschoolers. Patient data can be transmitted to a PC and their reports can be displayed and managed with the OAE database software. The wireless thermal printer allows for automatic or manual printing of test results and therefore facilitates the overview of all data.

Early detection of hearing loss with TEOAE screening

Transitorilly evoked OAE measurements are frequency-unspecific and are tested with a click stimulus. This stimulus enables very fast measurements and saves time in unstable environments. Conclusions about frequencies can be drawn despite the unspecificity caused by a time lag in the pitch of the tones. The TEOAE screening is an important part for examining hearing loss in newborns and children and is of vital importance for their optimal treatment.
