The delivery will take place between the 10.06.2025 and 14.06.2025Birdie 2.0 air quality sensor – Wood Edition from Birdie
The award-winning Birdie 2.0 air quality sensor monitors indoor air with a state-of-the-art Swiss CO₂ sensor. The Wood Edition of Birdie is crafted from sustainably sourced Danish oak from Danish Woodlands. The organization advocates for natural forestry and careful wood harvesting, respecting ecosystems and biodiversity, which includes a rich variety of plants and animals.
Birdie 2.0 hangs upside down when the CO₂ levels in the air become too high, subtly indicating poor air quality. With this simple gesture, it alerts you without alarms or light signals. To restore Birdie to its upright position, just open the windows briefly to let in fresh air.

Designer sensor made from Danish wood
The Danish design of the Birdie 2.0 Wood Edition incorporates oak wood certified by Danish Woodlands. The premium-quality wood from Danish forests is:
- harvested carefully to preserve a natural forest floor
- transported to sawmills using short routes
- sawed using green electricity
- dried with eco-friendly energy
The air quality sensor indicates poor indoor air quality: Carbon dioxide (CO₂) is a global standard for measuring air quality, with the Pettenkofer value (1,000 ppm or 0.1% CO₂ by volume) serving as the threshold for indoor spaces. High CO₂ levels can affect concentration and increase the risk of headaches and sleep disturbances. The sensor covers an area of up to 100 m², and one Birdie should be installed per floor or closed room. Birdie 2.0 signals CO₂ concentrations exceeding 1,000 ppm by hanging down on its perch. To improve air quality, letting in some fresh air by opening the windows is enough. When the level drops to around 800 ppm, the bird will return to its upright position.
The simple design is intuitive and invites everyone to participate. The small bird works without light, sound, or digital displays, making it suitable for offices or bedrooms without causing disturbances.
