Determine HIV Early Detect Test from Abbott
Abbott’s Determine HIV Early Detect Test is a 4th generation Point-of-Care-Test for an early diagnosis of acute HIV in adults and children older than 18 months. It is a professional in-vitro test that detects HIV antigens and antibodies with a 100% sensitivity. The transmission risk is greatest during the infection’s acute phase. Therefore, early diagnosis of acute HIV leads to rapid therapy and better treatment results. This strip test can be performed with capillary/venous whole blood, serum or plasma. The result can be read visually after only 20 minutes. The test window is easy to read.
Please note: For healthcare professionals only. The test should only be performed and interpreted by a physician or a person authorized by a physician. Medical laypersons may use and interpret the test incorrectly.
