Panbio™ COVID-19 Antigen Self Test from Abbott
The Abbott Panbio™ COVID-19 Antigen Self Test rapidly and reliably detects acute corona infection within 15 minutes. The individually packaged and filled extraction solutions make it particularly easy to use. The self-test allows sample collection in the anterior nasal region - 2 cm depth per nostril. This makes it particularly user-friendly.
Detection of the new Corona variants (including Omikron): Reliable detection of the currently detected Corona variants, including the Omikron variant, is considered confirmed based on current knowledge, according to the manufacturer.

Performance of the Panbio™ COVID-19 antigen self-test
Bring the test kit to room temperature 30 minutes prior to use. First open the buffer bottle by gently twisting and pulling. Pour the liquid into the tube up to the fill line and place it in the stand. Remove the swab stick from the package and insert the swab about 2 cm into the nostril - until resistance is felt - and twist 5 times along the nasal passage. Remove the swab from the nostril and repeat the procedure with the same swab in the other nostril. The swab is then placed in the tube. To ensure that the solution and sample combine sufficiently, rotate the swab at least 5 times and gently squeeze the tube with your fingers. The swab can then be broken off at the breaking point and the tube closed with the blue cap provided. Open the tube with the white cap and add 5 drops of the solution into the designated well of the test cassette. After 15 minutes the result of the Corona self-test can be read.
