Are you looking for a blood pressure monitor that meets the highest technical requirements? Then you've come to the right place in the DocCheck store. Examine your patients thoroughly and accurately with an ABI system for occlusive arterial disease of the lower limbs (AOMI). Simplified blood pressure measurements are of course also possible, but ABI devices are designed for more comprehensive diagnostics.
The DocCheck store offers medical equipment for all specialties. We sell products from well-known brands as well as alternative products that are much more affordable, such as our own DocCheck brand. We ensure the high quality of our services and products.
ABI systems are primarily designed to detect arterial occlusive disease of the lower limbs (AOMI). The boso ABI system is a very popular model among physicians. It reduces fluctuations thanks to its intelligent inflation system. It is also very easy to use, which avoids distorting the results. With the evaluation software and the computer interfaces, working with this device makes it very pleasant. Your patients' data can be easily displayed on your computer or laptop. You have everything you need to make an accurate diagnosis.
Calculation of the systolic pressure index: The acronym ABI stands for Ankle Brachial Index. For this index, you measure the blood pressure in the arm and ankle. The values are then compared. The systolic pressure index is used to diagnose obliterative arterial disease of the lower limbs and its severity.
Pulse wave velocity measurement: Cardiovascular diseases can also be detected with an ABI system. This is possible thanks to the measurement of the pulse wave velocity.
Blood pressure: Of course, you can measure blood pressure accurately, easily and quickly with the ABI system. To do this, you must use the cuff of the device as a normal blood pressure monitor.
The basic principle of the ABI system is the classical blood pressure measurement with a cuff. However, instead of a stethoscope, the ABI monitor uses Doppler ultrasound to measure the pressure values, which allows you to see or hear the blood flow in the arteries. Some newer ABI blood pressure monitors also determine the ABI value by oscillometry and not by Doppler ultrasound. In oscillometric measurement, the oscillations (pressure changes) caused by the pulse waves are recorded by special leg and arm cuffs and converted into blood pressure values using a computer.
The systolic value, which indicates the blood pressure during the systole (ejection phase) of the heart, is relevant for the measurement with the ABI blood pressure monitor. The ankle brachial index is then calculated by dividing the systolic blood pressure measured in the arm by the one measured in the ankle.
