Eutectic accumulator - reduction of temperature fluctuations

Versapak's eutectic accumulators are made of a heat-storing material that is capable of a phase change between liquid and solid state. This phase change is used to store and slowly release large amounts of thermal energy at a constant temperature.

The cooling elements are precooled at 0 - 4 °C before use until the liquid is in a solid state. They can be placed anywhere in a suitable insulated bag or cooler. This reduces temperature fluctuations due to external influences to a minimum. Even without the use of an additional thermal barrier, they ensure a constant temperature of the refrigerated goods.

These reusable accumulators are particularly suitable for the transport of blood, vaccines, pharmaceutical and biotechnical products due to the constant release of cooling energy.
