The B. Braun Sterican Safety Cannula has an integrated safety mechanism to prevent puncture injuries. The position of the cannula safety shield indicates the orientation of the ground-glass eye. After puncture, the shield is folded over the cannula and an audible and tactile click confirms the activation of the irreversible protective mechanism. The Microlance 3 standard cannulas from BD have a triple facet cut and a high flow rate - so medical puncture is as painless and fast as possible.
