A sudden cardiac arrest can happen everywhere – hospitals, shopping malls… The Philips HeartStart FRx defibrillator can help out in these situations. It has a voice command, simple operation and an intelligent technology which all make the device easy to use for laypeople. The defibrillator will guide them with its calm, clear voice instructions and its acoustic metronome through cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
There is also a separately available child key that, when inserted into the FRx, lets the device know you are treating a child or an infant. The defibrillator then reduces its energy. The Philips SMART Biphasic therapy measures each patient’s resistance and adjusts accordingly the therapy’s timing, so the AED can be used on young patients without the special pediatric electrode pads. The first aid defibrillator autonomously performs over 80 different tests daily, weekly and monthly and is therefore maintenance-free.

Der Defibrillator hat mich positiv überrascht. Super einfach bedienbar und auch nicht geübte Personen könnten mit dem Gerät umgehen. Besonders positiv finde ich die angepasste Funktion für Kinder. Von anderen Herstellern wird das Anpassen der Defibrillationsenergie häufig außen vor gelassen.

The special child key for the Philips FRx defibrillator is required for resuscitation of a child under 25 kg weight or under eight years of age. This key allows the same electrodes to be used for adults and children, as the FRx automatically reduces the defibrillation energy. The pink key fits into the designated opening at the top center of the AED. The blue portion of the key shows the placement of the electrode pads on the infant's body while covering the adult pictogram on the device. The device also adapts voice prompts and resuscitation instructions to treat children when using the infant key. The infant key can also be used with the HeartStart FRx Trainer or FRx AED with training pads and then simulates resuscitation of children. AEDs can be stored safely and neatly indoors in this Philips wall-mounted storage tray. The storage tray fits the AED models of the HeartStart series: HS1, FRx and FR3. The AED Wall Mount is made of transparent Plexiglas, providing easy accessibility to the defibrillator in an emergency. The mount holds both the HeartStart AED with a protective pouch and the bag containing the Philips rapid response kit.
