Arteriosclerosis model by Erler-Zimmer
The Erler-Zimmer model shows a cross-section of the human artery with progressive arteriosclerosis. The progressive build-up of fatty deposits (cholesterol) and the formation of plaque up to vascular occlusion are visualized. The artery model simulates the diminishing vascular elasticity of a real artery: soft to hard. The individual parts can be rotated together, but cannot be separated from each other.
