Non-contact temperature measuring for health professionals
Medical Thermometers
A clinical thermometer is a device you use to measure a body's temperature and its possible fluctuations. The technology of this type of device has been highly improved in the last decades. Nowadays, the most common thermometer types are digital ones, which have a really precise and reliable sensor. Taking somebody’s temperature only takes a couple of seconds with digital thermometers. Most thermometers have a measuring range between 35.5 °C and 42.0 °C. The DocCheck Shop offers both digital and classic/conventional thermometers, as well as the corresponding caps and cases. We have products from renowned brand such as Boso or Braun, along with our own brand, DocCheck.
Digital vs. classic thermometers
There are digital and classic thermometer models - But which one you should purchase will depend on what you want to use it for.
Digital thermometers
We have a wide range of digital thermometers. These can be split in two different kinds:
- Ear thermometers: Using ear thermometers has become quite universal. They are easy to use and quickly deliver the measured data. Since they are used with protective caps, there is no need to clean the device after each patient. The display only needs a couple of seconds to show the temperature. These types of digital thermometers have a very broad measuring range and a high storage capacity for saving the last measured values.
- Infrared thermometer: These are a true revolution in the temperature measuring field! Infrared thermometer are contactless: they do not have to touch the patient to measure their temperature. It is simply held out at a certain distance from the body and detects its radiation. These kinds of thermometers are very hygienic: since they do not touch the body, they do not get contaminant by bacteria or germs. For this reason, there is no need to disinfect them after each use (even though you should still do it from time to time).
Conventional thermometers
We also offer classic clinical thermometers, such as the Boso Bosotherm basic or flex thermometers. These devices have some waterproof protective caps, the device itself is also waterproof and can be disinfected. You can measure the body temperature rectally or in the mouth/armpit. Those who want a real classic can purchase a glass thermometer. Its manual measuring scale is still accurate.
Protective caps and cases
The DocCheck Shop also has accessories like cases and protective, disposable caps for all kind of thermometers to keep your device hygienic and clean!
