Super teil, funktioniert super
Für mich ist die Venenboa ein unverzichtbares Tool, das in jede Notfalltasche gehört. Eine klare Empfehlung für alle Kollegen in Rettungsdienst und Notaufnahme.
Auch mehrfach zu verwenden. Bei schlechten Venenstatus mein letzter Versuch vor dem i.o. (Präklinik). Bisher gute Erfolge erzielt. Ich empfehle dieses Produkt besonders im Bereich des Rettungsdienstes.

Das BOA Constricting Band der Firma North American Rescue wird als Einmalartikel geliefert, man kann es aber auch getrost mehrfach verwenden, es lässt sich leicht desinfizieren. Das Band ist in zwei Größen lieferbar, in Normalgröße (19-45 cm) und XL (25-69 cm). Das Band besteht aus einer Kunststoffoberfläche mit darunterliegender Spirale und einem Verschlussmechanismus. Das Band sieht ausgepackt recht klein aus, zum Anlegen muss man es mit einigem Kraftaufwand auseinanderziehen. Ich habe den Venenstauer in Normalgröße mehrfach bei geriatrischen Patienten im Rettungsdienst-Einsatz getestet und dabei feststellen müssen, dass das Band auch bei schmaleren Oberarmen sehr stramm anliegt und für die Patienten unangenehm ist, teilweise Abdrücke auf der Haut hinterlässt. Nichtsdestotrotz hat es super funktioniert, ich konnte die Venen schnell darstellen und auch problemlos beim ersten Versuch punktieren. Das wäre mit einem normalen Venenstauer nicht so einfach über die Bühne gegangen. Das Abnehmen des Bandes war dann ein wenig hakelig und hat nicht auf Anhieb geklappt, erst recht nicht mit einer Hand, das geht dann aber mit ein wenig Übung. Mein Fazit: Ich würde das Band bei kritischen Notfallpatienten einsetzen und immer dann wenn die Venenverhältnisse schwierig sind und man mit den üblichen Stau-Methoden (Venenstauer, Blutdruckmanschette) nicht weiterkommt. Aber gerne auch in der XL-Variante, die dann sicherlich angenehmer ist für die Patienten.

Vielen Dank, dass ich das BOA Constricring Band testen konnte. Es ist als Einmalartikel vakuum verpackt. Die Anwendung ist denkbar einfach und selbst erklärend. Das BOA-Band ist in zwei Größen erhältlich, wobei ich die Normvariante getestet habe. Diese ist, meiner Meinung nach, für die meisten Einsätze zu empfehlen. Allerdings sehe ich bei zunehmendem Armunfang die Schwierigkeit, das Band schonend und einfach anzubringen. Auch der Verschluss, der sich einhändig lösen lassen soll, verklemmt sich sehr schnell. Fazit: Ein super Tool für schwierige Verhältnisse und Zentralisation des Patienten. Es funktioniert super, aber die kleinen Materialeigenheiten müssen bedacht werden.
