Innosonian’s CPR training manikin BRAYDEN Basic is a training dummy for cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). Its realistic anatomy with sternum, rib cage, xiphoid process, and subxiphoid space makes it easier to learn the correct hand placements for chest compressions. An audible CPR clicking sound provides feedback for the correct compression depth. Applying defibrillation electrodes can also be practiced with BRAYDEN Basic. The neck can be hyperextended to open the airways for ventilation. Through the open airways, all ventilation techniques, such as mouth-to-mouth, mouth-to-nose, and mask ventilation, can be performed. The rise of the chest due to the artificial lung is particularly realistic when the ventilation is successful.
