B. Braun Vasofix Safety cannula

The B. Braun Vasofix Safety Braun cannula is an indwelling venous cannula which, thanks to its special safety clip, offers safety against needlestick injuries and reduces the associated risk of infection. The cannula has an injection port so that medication can be administered quickly and directly without having to puncture again.

Safety features of the Vasofix Safety Braunüle

With the Vasofix Safety cannula, punctures can be carried out precisely and without damaging the vein. The 3-facet grind enables comfortable puncture, which can be performed from different angles to suit the patient. Since the hollow needle is precisely ground, the use of the butterfly cannula also reduces puncture pain. In addition, the cannulas have special features that increase safety:

• Self-activation: the safety system of the vein disposable cannulas automatically encloses the needle by itself during withdrawal.
• Safety clip: The patented safety clip is self-releasing and passive against needlestick injuries.
• Durability: The safety clip is permanentlyfixed to the needle tip and needle stick injuries are reliably prevented.
