Alkali-release approx. 15 to 24 µg NaO/g glass, therefore a glass of highest resistance.

Excellent usability for fluorescence-microscopy. Irradiated ultraviolet rays with wave-lengths of approx. 320 nm cause practically no fluorescence in the "assistant" glass-covers; also mercury-lines at 334 and 365 nm show practically no self-fluorescence in the glass-cover.
