The 3M Cavilon barrier spray is a film-forming skin protectant designed for the preventive care and protection of heavily stressed or vulnerable skin. It forms a breathable, transparent protective layer that shields the skin from moisture, friction, and irritating substances. As it is alcohol-free, it is also suitable for sensitive or already damaged skin. Typical areas of application include incontinence care, medical wound management, and protection against mechanical stress, such as from adhesive dressings or bandages. The spray is applied directly to clean, dry skin. After application, the protective film dries quickly and leaves no sticky residue.
