Helpful additional functions of the KERN MPE personal scale
The MPE personal scale offers an extended range of functions that ensure improved measurement accuracy and assist in further diagnostic evaluation. The integrated dynamic weighing function enables reliable results even with restless patients. The scale calculates a representative average value from multiple individual measurements.
The version with integrated height measuring rod also allows the BMI function to calculate the body mass index at the push of a button based on the patient’s height and measured weight.
If there is any pre-load, the tare function allows the respective weight to be deducted so that only the patient’s actual weight is displayed. This function is particularly suitable for weighing infants together with a parent. In this case, the parent is weighed first and then weighed again while holding the baby.
The scale also features a hold function, which allows the measured result to be frozen on the display for later processing. This enables the physician to continue patient consultation without time pressure.
