möLab mö-quick mononucleosis test

MöLab's mö-quick Mononucleosis Test is a rapid and reliable immunochromatographic immunoassay used for the qualitative detection of heterophile antibodies (IgM) in whole blood, serum or plasma. The test supports the diagnosis of infectious mononucleosis (IM) caused by Epstein-Barr virus (EBV). It works by reacting components of the sample material with recombinant antigens on a membrane coated with colloid gold P. A colored line in the test field (T) indicates a positive result, and the absence of the line indicates a negative result. With the help of the rapid test, Pfeiffer's glandular fever, which is transmitted through saliva contact, such as in kindergartens, when kissing (kissing disease) or through droplet infection, can be diagnosed within the first week, so that rapid treatment is possible.
