VILIM Ball: Effective therapy for temporary reduction of hand tremor
The VILIM Ball was developed for use in private or professional environments as a therapy device for the temporary reduction of hand tremor caused by essential tremor. The functional principle of the VILIM Ball is based on mechanical vibrations that influence the nerve and muscle tissue in the hand, which exchanges nerve signals with the cerebral cortex. The cerebral cortex controls human body movements. The mechanical vibrations of the VILIM Ball modify the nerve signals transmitted between the cerebral cortex and the arm, thereby suppressing hand tremor.

- Liegt gut in der Hand. Einer meiner Patienten schläft sogar während der Therapie ein-Therapieerfolg sehr schwankend, von kaum merkbar bis deutlich reduzierter Tremor für 30 Minuten- Besserer Therapieerfolg bei häufigerer Anwendung- Für Anwendung in der Praxis weniger geeignet, besser wäre der Patient würde jeweils einen eigenen Ball besitzen- insgesamt noch zu wenig Erfahrung für eine gesicherte Beurteilung

Nach einer ausgiebigen Testung, möchte ich gerne meine Produktbewertung mitteilen. Der VILIM Ball liegt mit seinen 6,5 cm Durchmesser angenehm in der Hand. Ein Gummiband als Armschlaufe, soll das Herunterfallen im Tremor verhindern. Durch einen Druckknopf lässt sich das Gerät problemlos leicht starten. Hebt man den Schutzdeckel des Druckknopfes an, befindet sich darunter ein magnetischer Ladestecker. Mit dem Anschalten des Knopfes beginnt sofort ganz intuitiv der Ball zu vibrieren und ein Licht leuchtet während einer Therapieeinheit von 10 Minuten grün auf und schaltet sich anschließend automatisch wieder ab. Die Vibration konnte für mich nicht als ein gleichmäßiges Virbrieren wahrgenommen werden, sondern viel mehr als ein intuitives Gegenarbeiten zu meiner zittrigen Schwäche. Anfangs erschöpfte mich die Therapie ein wenig, aber gleichzeitig merkte ich schon nach wenigen Tagen, dass mein Tremor für ein paar Minuten ausblieb und sich dieser Tag für Tag nach und nach um eine Weile hinauszögern ließ. Ich konnte danach erstmals wieder ein wenig im Haushalt zupacken ohne dass mir ein Teller aus den Händen fliegt. Sogar meine geliebte Handarbeit (Häkeln) konnte ich wieder für kleine Momente aufnehmen, und damit auch meiner Feinmotorik nachhelfen. Das fand ich dann doch sehr überraschend und erfreulich. Das Gerät erscheint nach zwei Wochen Nutzung meine Zittrigkeit berechnet zu haben- alles fühlt sich plötzlich angenehmer während des Trainings an und das Durchhalten des täglichen beidseitigen Trainings scheint sich ausgezahlt zu haben. Nach weiteren zwei Wochen kann ich wieder Dokumente unterschreiben, ohne dass meine Hand sofort verkrampft. Ich kann meinen Alltag mit Hilfe des Balls besser planen und zu den Hauptzeiten, in denen ich funktionieren muss, vorher ein Training einbauen. Heute habe ich einen Obstsalat zubereitet. Nach und nach sind ein paar Fähigkeiten wieder da, die ich ganz offenbar nicht verlernt hatte, sondern einer ruhigen Hand bedürfen. Ein bisschen Freiheit für kleine Momente scheint derzeit wieder möglich. Der Ball findet nun als mein täglicher Begleiter seinen Platz in meiner Handtasche. Ich bin sehr zufrieden!
