i-gel Plus supraglottic airway by Intersurgical
The Intersurgical i-gel Plus supraglottic airway is an airway device inspired by the perilaryngeal structures, whose innovative design makes inflation of a cuff unnecessary and significantly reduces the risk of compression trauma. It is the result of years of research and development and represents the ideal adaptation of a ventilation device to human anatomy. The airway features a high seal pressure, reduces postoperative complications, and increases first-time insertion success thanks to its ease of use. In addition, the i-gel Plus is equipped with a gastric channel, usually found only in specialized instruments. The i-gel Plus can be used in a temperature range of -20 °C to 40 °C, with neither ambient temperature nor the patient’s body temperature affecting its function or effectiveness. It can therefore be used in both hypothermic and febrile patients. The sealing principle is based on the anatomical shape of the cuff and the use of a water-based lubricant that seals minor leaks and creates an adhesive effect.

Sehr coole Idee mit grandioser Umsetzung. Die Atemhilfe ist ein wortwörtlicher Lebensretter und lässt sich auch einfach einführen, wenn man den Dreh raushat und sich einmal richtig einweisen lässt. Eindeutige Kaufempfehlung.
