The Spiro-Ball SMILE lung trainer by Sport-Tec is a volume-oriented lung trainer for optimizing respiratory function. It allows for inspiratory training in accordance with the SMI method (Sustained Maximal Inspiration = slow, continuous, and deep breathing). This can improve respiratory function and support lung regeneration in a simple manner, e. g. after prolonged illness, lack of physical fitness, or after quitting smoking. Through specific and easy training of the lung’s capacity with the lung trainer SMILE, the lung is completely (to the deepest areas of the lung) provided with oxygen, the blood circulation is increased, and the existing lung volume is reactivated. This allows the alveoli to absorb more oxygen and supports the cardiovascular system. In addition, phlegm that has built up in the lower lung areas can be coughed out more easily. The additional oxygen is transported directly into the bloodstream. The muscles and brain receive more oxygen, and physical performance and well-being can be increased.
