The B. Braun Sterican Safety Cannula has an integrated safety mechanism to prevent puncture injuries. The position of the cannula safety shield indicates the orientation of the ground-glass eye. After puncture, the shield is folded over the cannula and an audible and tactile click confirms the activation of the irreversible protective mechanism. The color-coded thin-wall needles have a precise grind for painless and gentle puncture.
