Mathieu needle holder by Tekno-Medical
The Tekno-Medical Mathieu needle holder does not feature ring handles but instead is tensioned in the surgeon’s hand by a spring mechanism and is significantly lighter than the Hegar/Olsen needle holder. Due to its wedge-shaped profile, it is less suitable for deep sutures; however, its advantage lies in quicker and easier handling. For sutures that require frequent repositioning (continuous sutures, anastomoses, etc.), time can be saved with less effort.
