The Erler-Zimmer shoulder joint model shows the shoulder girdle including the scapula and clavicle as well as the humeral stump. The model also illustrates the most important ligaments such as the coracoacromial ligament, coracohumeral ligament and transverse scapular ligament and parts of the joint capsule. The model makes it possible to demonstrate the main movements of the shoulder joint, such as anteversion, retroversion, external and internal rotation and abduction, in lectures or in pairs of patients.
