The VS 8 patient control monitor by Mindray serves the control of patients’ vital signs in daily hospital routines. The compact and light vital sign monitor is characterized by precise measuring values. Measurements of blood pressure (NIBP) and breathing rate are possible for both adults as well as children and newborns. The robust monitor is equipped with a powerful lithium-ion battery for mobile use in emergency services. The battery ensures a continuous application of up to 8 hours.

Early recognition of the deterioration of a patient’s condition
The vital sign monitor determines a broad spectrum of parameters for the support of clinical decisions. The innovative OrthostaticBP helps to evaluate the risk of falling and therefore to reduce it. The BP Average mode allows for the conducting of unsupervised AOBP measurements and the providing of precise values for an exact patient condition. The early warning system EWS (early warning score) is an automatic evaluation system which calculates patient scores and enables the early detection of deterioration through escalation notifications.
For monitoring vital parameters, the VS 8 patient control monitor is available in different versions:
- For the connection to a nurse call system, the monitor can be purchased with or without multifunction connection.
- The monitor is available with or without standard accessories, including:
- NIBP set: pressure cuff for adults with an arm circumference of 24 - 35 cm
- SpO2 sensor: reuseable SpO2 finger clip sensor for adults, children, and newborns (for the foot)
