S-Monovette for clinical chemistry by Sarstedt
The S-Monovettes for clinical chemistry are part of Sarstedt’s individual blood collection system. This closed Monovette system allows blood collection to follow either the aspiration principle or the vacuum principle, depending on the patient and venous conditions. When using Monovettes, disposable syringes are not required. The serum Monovettes contain a silicate-coated granulate. Thanks to this coating, the blood clots after 20–30 minutes and is then ready for centrifugation. In the serum gel Monovettes, the silicate-coated granulate additionally contains a polyacrylate gel, which forms a stable separation layer between the blood clot and the serum, ensuring that most parameters remain stable for up to 48 hours.
