The perfect support for first responders

According to the 2010 guidelines of the European Resuscitation Council (ERC), a successful defibrillation can only be administered when a high-quality cardiac massage is performed too. This high-quality massage has to have the appropriate depth and frequency. Many people are scared of not being able to fulfill these requirements and shy away from administering cardiac massages in emergency situations. With its CPR technology, the AED Plus is therefore the right choice as it offers the necessary support.

Only a good cardiac massage can restore the heart’s rhythms so that a subsequent shock could be administered. But also after an administered shock, the cardiac massage helps to supply the heart with blood and to return to its natural rhythm. A good cardiac massage is achieved when the compressions reach a depth of at least 5 - 6 cm and a frequency of at least 100 compressions/minute. In order to eliminate uncertainties about whether these requirements are met, the Real CPR Help technology of AED Plus provides feedback about whether the administered compressions are deep and frequent enough.

Via the electrode sensor of the CPR-D-padz electrode, the AED Plus recognizes chest compressions. Audiovisual information about the quality of the compressions is provided in real time. A continuously moving bar on the display shows the compression depth. In order to maintain the rhythm, the integrated metronome guides the user to the recommended frequency of at least 100/minute. The shocks are triggered via the clearly visible shock button, as soon as it is pressed according to the audio instruction.

But AED Plus not only supports the user in being an excellent first responder through its technology. Its additional equipment also supports the user in emergency situations: The one-piece CPR-D-padz electrode can not only be applied quickly and easily, it also has a first aid kit attached to it which includes further equipment for successful first aid. The device’s case lid serves as a passive support for the user and keeps the patient’s airways free.

To ensure that the AED Plus is always ready for use, the battery life is displayed with a red X. If this X is displayed, approx. 9 shocks remain and new batteries should be put in as soon as possible.
